Our salon is a family owned business, built on a foundation of legacies of the award-winning hairstylists and salon owners before us.

Our culture is based on the skills and talent of Webb family members brought here from Birmingham, England more than two generations ago.

Peter and Shirley Webb, stylist legacies, remain our inspiration for their master skills and work ethic. They paved their own entrepreneurial paths, owning their own salons, and teaching together at the hairdressers academy in England.

Together, the Webb family members alternatively won the best artistic national competitions in the late 50’s through early 60’s. Shirley, winning World Hair Championship Day Styling in 1958, and patriarch Peter winning World Hair Champion Evening Fantasy in 1961.

To no surprise, they each came from an all too familiar industry background.

Thomas Webb (Peter’s father, our grandfather) and Laura Breakwell (Shirley’s mother, our grandmother), were entrepreneurs and artists in their own right, carving the legacy as stylists and salon owners in England.

Years later, Peter and Shirley moved to Rochester with their sons, Simon and Jonathan, to continue their tradition of high-level, creative hairstyling. With the addition of Simon’s wife Maggie, the Webb family continues to place high value on training and education.

At the W Salon in Pittsford, the Webb family places a heavy importance on education, having fun, building and growing relationships, and making people feel their best. They continue to pass along three generations of passion and expertise to every guest that enters the W Salon.
